About Us

The Thompson Community Center is located in the rural town of Union, Maine and serves the surrounding communities of Union, Warren, Hope, Appleton and Washington while drawing in people from many other local areas as well. The Thompson Community Center's mission is to support educational recreational and civic activities within the communities and by so doing, will create an outlet for today's families to relax, get fit, and reconnect with each other. The Thompson Community Center recognizes the importance of "connection" wihin our local communities.
The TCC currently houses permanent renters including Atlantic Partners EMS, Inc, For His Glory Baptist Church, Come Spring Food Pantry, Leaps and Bounds Learning Center, Patz' Handbags, Bliss Yogo & Healing Arts, School Room Musuem, and Boy Scout Troop 207. The Center offers enrichment programs and community inspired activities such as TCC Mid-Coast Martial Arts, Zumba, Hula Hooping, Bridge, Knitting, Flea Markets, Scrapbooking Crops, Dances, Free Thanksgiving Dinner, and a Thrift Shop.
The Thompson Community Center offers a wide variety of space to Rent for Conferences, Weddings, Parties, Class Reunions, etc. We have a kitchen available. Seating available for over 200. Handicapped Accessible and Large On-site Parking
The Thompson Community Center assists in the "bringing together" of not just our own families but also of families in the broader outreach of our own environment. It is through connecting to a larger spectrum of people that we begin to grow, learn tolerance, and become a stronger nation.
